For the sixth painting in my Eastern Iowa: Balltown Series, I had to capture an amazing stormy skyscape! You can see “forever” in this area, and there are many days where you can see rain in the distance. You can actually tell that it is raining in one spot and dry in the next! On this particular day, the sun was trying to break through as the rain was rolling away. “South Mound Storm” showcases one of the views on South Mound Road between the towns of Sherrill and Balltown, Iowa.
