'Hole in the Sky' comes from a Minnesota Indian term that a good friend referenced when she saw this painting. 'Bugonaygeshig' means a hole or opening in the sky or day.
Even though this painting was captured near Wadena, Iowa, I felt Bugonaygeshig fit it perfectly.
