Are these paper prints? What does “Luster Print” mean?
LUSTER Prints
are premium, archival quality limited edition paper prints. The term “luster” comes from the glossy, slightly textured look of the prints. All luster prints are printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper by a high quality, professional printer in Iowa.
Limited edition luster prints give you a more affordable way to customize your fine art. Small luster prints will fit into standard frame sizes that can be found at your local arts & crafts store or online. Large luster prints may need to be custom framed. The highlight of customizing – you choose which frame and mat colors make your limited edition print pop the most and fit with your style. Smaller luster prints come with a white border on the paper to give your print a matted look and help it fit into a standard frame size. Larger luster prints will come with full bleed – the image will go to the edge of the paper. When ordering, each luster print option will state whether it has a white border or full bleed.
Why would I want a STYRENE mounted luster print?
STYRENE is a super smooth plastic mounting substrate that resists warping, and makes it an excellent choice for adding rigidity to prints. It has no natural fibers, so is not affected by variations in humidity and will remain warp free over time.
Styrene is perfect for prints that will be added to a frame, just to make them a little more durable. OR, another fun option - a print mounted to styrene will allow you to hang your luster print without a frame! Simply add a plastic hanger to the back of your print to make a fun, contemporary wall display with one or multiple prints.
Each print is packaged with care and will come in heavy-duty packaging so it does not get damaged during the shipping process.
